Beauty Review | Born Pretty Store False Lashes

Hi beautiful babes ! Born Pretty Store was kind enough to send me some goodies to review. If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter (@crimeofashion) you might already know that I've been playing around with these lashes for a while. I always found false lashes to be gorgeous, especially the more natural ones but I just never could apply them properly. Every single time I ended up with glue all over my face and no patience to give it one more try. So when I received these gorgeous lashes from Born Pretty Store, I was so happy to realise they are not that hard to apply. It just takes practice.

Born Pretty Store has a huge selection of false lashes at extremely small prices. If you are a beginner like me and you want to learn, it's great to start with a 1$ pair. Or if you just can't live without your lashes on, you can switch as much as you want for almost nothing ! Now I'm loving false lashes, I just can't wait to try other shapes from Born Pretty Store.

As you can see on the pictures above, in this set you have 5 pairs of lashes with different shapes from dramatic to natural. I love how each shape gives a unique result. The dramatic ones transformed the way my eyes were shaped and made them look like dear eyes. When the thinner ones seemed to make my natural lashes look even better without appearing too bold or fake.

The great thing about these lashes is that you can wear them more than once. All you have to do is apply your mascara first (not after) and cleaning them after each use. To do so, simply take some tweezers and remove the left over glue on the false lash line. You will see that they instantly look brand new ! So for such a small price you get a large selection of shapes and lashes that you can use several times. I'm completely in love !

As a gift to you, Born Pretty Store offers a 10% OFF code to use on their website. I really recommend you buying some of their lashes. I know I love them !

This is it for today, I hope you guys enjoyed my review. Let me know if you like false lashes or not, are you not used to them just like me ? Now I tried these, I'm addicted I must say ! I wish you a lovely day.

OOTD | Grey Jumper and Houndstooth printed Skirt

30 December 2014

Outfit :
Jacket : Primark 9€ (sales)
Jumper : Primark 10€
Skirt : Primark 2€ (sales)
Shoes : Primark 11€
Sunglasses : Barcelona 5€

Hi dolls ! I'm not going to lie, it is now way too cold in Ireland to wear a skirt without tights (and sometimes even with them on !). It's a look I shot a few weeks ago when the sun still seemed to exist. This is a super casual look that appears more put together than it really is. I simply threw on a big jumper, a skirt and some comfy shoes. To give some life to this black and white outfit I added one of my favourite lipsticks : Mac shade Dangerous.

It always a good idea when wearing an all black and white outfit to add at least one print in order to look a little more adventurous. Even if the prints still are in the same colour scheme, you add some edge to the look.

This is it for today, I hope you guys enjoyed my quick OOTD. Let me know how is the weather where you live. Here the sun almost never appears any more. I wish you a lovely day !

Beauty Review | Makeup Revolution Girl Panic Palette

28 December 2014

Hi dolls ! I am back with another Makeup Revolution palette called Girl Panic. I fell in love with it the moment I opened the box and discovered this gorgeous selection of nude and bronze colours. This is exactly the kind of shades I have been loving recently. Let's get started with the review !

For only 6£ you get 18 shades ! As usual with Makeup Revolution, you get a large amount of product for a very small price. On top of that, the packaging is always so elegant. I really love the huge mirror they add to the palettes. It makes such a difference to me !

I love the mix of shimmery and matte colours that allows you to create so many different looks, especially smoky eyes. Recently, I have been all about shimmery eye shadows. The lighter pink and champagne shades are perfect for an everyday look, something very settle but gorgeous. Or, if you want something a little more sultry but still very elegant, you can play with the bronze colours. What I love the most about this palette is that these shades are perfect for any eye colour. Whether your eyes are blue or brown, you can't go wrong.

The textures of these eye shadows is very creamy, pigmented and easy to blend. The perfect combination I must say. Of course, some of the lightest shimmery colours won't be as pigmented as the others. I recommend using one of the matte eye shadows first and then applying the shimmery shade on top.

I have been using this palette for a few weeks now. I love how versatile it is, you can take it on a trip as your only eye shadow palette and it will be perfectly fine to create day and night looks. The selection of shades works with any eye colour. The quality of the product is great for such a small price, there's really nothing wrong to say about it. And the packaging is as always, so elegant. I love that they put so much effort in their products.

So if you are looking for a nude palette on a budget, this one is amazing. For only 6£ you can't go wrong and I'm sure it's as good as many other expensive brands. Makeup Revolution knows how to prove that the price doesn't make the quality !

This is it for today, I hope you guys enjoyed ! Don't forget that I have a giveaway going on right now, you can win a So...? Fragrance gift set ! I have many more giveaways to come in January so make sure to stick around. I wish you a lovely day !

OOTD | White Party Dress from WearAll.com

26 December 2014

Outfit :
Dress : WearAll 14£
Clutch : Aliexpress 16€
Shoes : Primark 12€
Earrings : New Look 2€ (sales)

Hi dolls ! I am back today with an OOTD sponsored by wearall.com. The team was lovely enough to send me a dress of my choice and this is the one I picked. To be honest, this dress was available in orange, the colour I wanted in the first place but it was sold out. No worries, since I still find it super gorgeous in white.

This dress is quite thick which is always great with such a colour. I always found white very difficult to put together when it comes to bodycon dresses. The back can be quite transparent if you don't have the proper underwear to pair it with. As you can see on the pictures above, I still managed to make it work. I am so in love with the top part of this dress that represents all the charm of it. The large panel around is great to create the illusion of a larger breast size. I wouldn't really recommend this type of cut to someone more generous in this area, since it could look a little too massive. But at the end of the day, if you really love it, just wear it !

I decided to pair this look with some rich metallic textures like the earrings and the clutch. However, to tone down the outfit, I added some nude pumps that are essentials in any woman's wardrobe. I got these gorgeous and simple ones from Primark for only 12€ ! Such a steal !

In general I am really loving the dress. The thick texture and the cut make it very elegant and versatile. I am sure I could wear this so many other ways. Today, I decided to let the dress speak for itself and keep everything very simple but also elegant.

If you are looking for a last minute gorgeous dress, check out wearall.com, they have a lovely selection with extremely affordable prices.

This is it for today, I hope you guys enjoyed. Let me know what you are going to wear for NYE. Also don't forget that I still have a giveaway going on the blog right now check it HERE. I have sooo many other giveaways to come in January to celebrate my birthday with you guys so make sure to follow me here, on Twitter (@crimeofashion) or Facebook to know when that happens. I wish you a lovely day x

Trend Inspiration | Italian Baroque Fashion (Dolce & Gabbana)

24 December 2014

Hi babes ! I have always been in love with Italy. The history, the art, the fashion, the food, the language (oh my... sexiest in the world !). As you may know if you follow me for a while, I like finding inspiration in other cultures. I love seeing how one worldwide popular trend is translated in different countries.

Maybe because it's the Holidays season, I have been in love with the Baroque trend. I love the thick materials, bold patterns and extremely huge accessories. Dolce and Gabbana translates this trend so perfectly with floral/gold crowns, drop earrings and jewels everywhere. What is great is that you can go for the full look with the prints, the crown and earrings, or simply wear a black lace dress with drop earrings and/or crown. You can adjust that to your taste. Honestly, right now, I'm super close to walk around town with a huge gold crown lol !

For the makeup, it's all about healthy skin and strong brows. Keep it neutral with very light shadows. If you want something a little more bold, then go for a thin cat eye and dark lips.

I am so inspired by this trend for the Holidays and maybe for my birthday look next month. Let me know if you are interested in me finding some affordable pieces to put a Dolce Gabbana look together, I already have some very cheap ideas. Personally, I can't wait to look like an Italian babe from a Dolce Gabbana perfume commercial ahah !

It's 1:20 am as I am writing this to you, I seriously need to sleep. This is it for today, I hope you guys enjoyed and got inspired. Let me know if you want a tutorial or a look book. Merry Christmas to you all ! xxx

Blogger Tips | Basic Photoshop editing : Black and White Balance

22 December 2014

Hi guys ! When it comes to Photoshop, I am self taught. There are so many tutorials on line to help you do amazing things. I'm no professional graphic designer or anything. This is why I thought that me explaining to you how I simply edit my pictures should be helpful. If I can do it, anybody can ! So let's get started !

To access most of the editing options you have to click on Image > Adjustments > and select what you want. With Photoshop, I really recommend taking the time to play around, discover the tools etc.

The easiest and most basic tool you could probably use is the Brightness and Constrast (also available on Instagram). Don't underestimate the power of a good Black and White balance. Everybody has their own style. Some people like their pictures really bright, other like more settle and vintage effects. I enjoy bright pictures with quite a strong contrast as you can see on the pictures above. You just need to play with the levels and see what works for you. There are no right or wrong, only your style.

The Levels tool is a little more complex. You can do a lot more than Black and White Balance. Today, I will only talk about the Black and White, to keep it easy and basic. As you can see on the picture above, you can control the Input and Output Levels

Input Levels Controls :
Pushing the black dot bellow the graphic to the right will deepen the black levels.
Pushing the white dot bellow the graphic to the left will deepen the white levels.
Pushing the grey dot bellow the graphic to the right or felt will lighten or darken the shadows.

Output Levels :
Pushing the black dot to the right will lighten the dark areas.
Pushing the white dot to the left will darken the light areas.

I prefer using the Levels tool since it allows me to control the shadows (grey dot) and achieve a more natural effect. But that's just my style. The great thing about these two tools is that you can play around, use both even.

This is it for today, I hope you guys enjoyed and learned something new ! Let me know if there are other editing techniques you want me to share ! I wish you very good day xx

Hi dolls ! I feel like my blog has been a lot about makeup and beauty recently. With all the giveaways going on. This is why today, I am back with an OOTD. This is the kind of looks I have been wearing all winter when I wanted to look stylish but most of all, warm. I like wearing a big jumper and jeans when I have a few errants to run but still want to look good.

Again, all my items are coming from Primark, I swear I'm not sponsored by them (I wish I were though ! lol). I just always find great pieces there. This big jumper is so warm and cosy, I love it. I have a true love for hats, especially fedora hats. They are usually 20€ for the cheapest. Imagine my surprise when I saw this one in Primark for 8€ and this amazing quality ! I hear often that Primark is cheap in price and quality but it's not always the case.

This scarf is the softest I ever had. It's so large and cosy, the perfect one for winter. Since I bought it, I wear it all the time. The colours go with almost everything to my surprise !

This set is floral, very fresh and sweet. Something cute and romantic to wear. It's also very delicate, the kind of sent that people will notice without suffocating. Every product smells amazing and it's a lovely set to have in your handbag if you need to touch up during the day and protect your skin from the cold with the cream and lip balm.

Beauty Review | Etude House Pink Wish Tree Collection

18 December 2014

Hello dolls ! I have access to a computer again which means that my blogging schedule is now back on track. Sorry for not updating these past two weeks but I have so many great things to spoil you guys in return. As I said a few weeks ago on my Twitter (@crimeofashion), I have been talking with awesome brands to put together several giveaways for the Holidays this month and my birthday next month. Until the next one (this week!) you still have a couple of days left to enter my HUGE MAKEUP REVOLUTION GIVEAWAY !

Weeks ago, Etude House sent me this very special Pink Box to announce their brand new collection : "PINK WISH". This Collection was created in order to help little girls in Africa to go to school. The company insists on the fact that there is a variety of ways to support girls in need, like the ETUDE Pink Wish Tree Collection. Some of the money will be donated to ETUDE X school me Campaign for African girls

In order to support this program, you can purchase various great quality products on the website. They are all Christmas themed and are a great gift idea. I used up all the lip balms already, the quality is so good. They are thick but still lovely to wear.

The foundation product is very thin and easy to blend. The colour is quite light and sheer which is perfect for a natural look.

What amazed me the most were the nail polishes. Etude House nail polishes are so incredible ! The red colour needed only one coat and dried really fast. While the gold shade (that aren't glitters) is the most amazing thing to add on any simply nail polish. Great way to edge up your nails without having to develop new skills ! I wasn't so in love with the Green and Red nail polish, too Christmas oriented to me, but that's my personal opinion.

In general, Etude House offers again great quality products with a lovely packaging, this time to help little girls in Africa to go to school. I find the idea lovely to be able to treat ourselves while helping others.

This is it for today, I hope you guys enjoyed ! Let me know what you think about this collection. I wish you a very good day !
