Makeup Haul | MUA Rimmel Beauty UK

28 December 2012

Listens :  Bloc Party – Mercury
Oh God I know I've been away for a week now. Where did the time go ? I spent the first days in Ireland being sick like usual. Then Christmas with my boyfriend and friends, we cooked all days long. I'm no chef and I don't really like cooking but my boyfriend insisted so... I helped him. The dinner was good, we had a lot of fun. I don't have much to say cause I mostly stayed home and went shopping. It's so good to be back in Ireland all I want is to chill out and appreciate those calm moments before the exams. So sorry I didn't update but I needed that time out. Thank you to everyone who kept coming. Here is a makeup Haul with pictures I hope you'll find nice.
MUA Mud Pie 1€35 Collection 2000 Nail Strengthener 3€65 - Rimmel London Ruby Crush 4€95
Obviously I'll show you some MUA products in this Haul. I was actually disappointed most of the products were sold out before Christmas ! (How many of you like my Owl candle ? Gift from my boyfriend Dariusz ♥) I need to say something about the Rimmel one. Ok it's nice to apply but God I regret I bought it ! I admit it was looking cute on Christmas Eve/day, it stayed on the nail pretty long and what I thought was a quality became a mistake. I took me AGES to take it off ! I used so much nail polish my fingers hurt. So, good quality product basically but I won't buy/wear it twice.
Primark Beauty 2€50 the set
MUA Blusher Shade 4 1€35 - Eye Shadow Shade Pearl 1€35
For the ones who follow me on instagram (@crimeofashion) you should already know that I turned black hair again ! I was half dark/light brown and I wanted to go back to a darker and natural brown color. I ended up with black hair but I'm ok with it. So I enjoy trying some new colors on my skin and see how it goes with my new hair color.
Revlon Blush Brush 7€65 - Beauty UK Mascara 3€05
I always hear so many great things about Revlon. This brush is the very first product I ever buy and I must say I love it. It's really soft and nice to use. The blush is applied on my skin naturally. It was on sales, the original price was 12€ and I think I might get some more before I go. The Beauty UK mascara is really nice. Deep dark and what I like the most is the brush that is quite strong. It really catches the eye lashes and gives more volume. Thing I didn't have on Rimmel mascara for example.
Rimmel London Shade Asia 6€15 - Beauty UK Shade Snob 4€35
This is it for today ! Hope you guys enjoyed and had a Merry Christmas. Wish you a good day dolls #Xx♥!

DIY | Cheap Makeup Storage

24 November 2012

Listens : Rihanna feat Chris Brown – Nobody's Business
Good evening guys ! Here are some pictures of my new makeup storage. Since I arrived in France I had to quickly move in Orléans. In my place, my landlord doesn't allow me to change anything. So I just have a desk I use for my homework, my make up, to eat (cause the kitchen is too small). As you can see there is not much place left and it got worst when I came back from Ireland in November with my Huge makeup haul. So I had to find a practical way to put everything in order. This is how I happened to use a... plastic tea box ! I took off the lid and as far as I'm concerned, it's quite good ! In the shop I wasn't sure it would work out but it does ! Only 3€, mine is from the French shop Babou. For the non-French readers I guess those kind of tea boxes are available everywhere.
I hope this cheap idea helped you if you are having problems with your makeup. I wish you a nice Saturday night #Xx♥!

Nudism : Next Summer Trend ?

3 October 2012

Listens : Ben Howard - Only Love
An Old hippie trend ?
I know what you are going to say. Is she for real ? Naked the new Fashion ? But don't worry my little Owls, I have a perfectly normal explanation for that weird topic. Well, at least good enough to me... Last night I found on TV a surprising documentary about nudism. To be honest, I was bored and couldn't find my sleep so I started watching thinking “God, another bunch of hippies” but the more I was watching the more I understood it was something else, something deeper and beautiful. Naturalism is at least as old as the Bible with Adam and Eve and still so many people don't understand it. This documentary totally changed my mind on it and this is why I share it tonight with you guys.
I used to think Nudism was just about getting naked around weird and old people watching each other having sex in the bushes. Smoking grass, painting on each other, preaching love making instead of war but in a very negative and lazy way. Like you couldn't manifest peace with clothes on ? I must admit this documentary showed another side of Naturalism. The one with a real meaning that could actually have an impact in our society. Those people don't get naked just to show off and have sex. Actually, thing I first didn't know was they praise nudity in a non sexual environment. It is more about going back to basics and Mother Nature. No clothes to hide behind. You have to face the people around you the way God made you, and according to the people in the documentary, it is not that easy. More and more popular in Great Britain, this TV show was all about trying to understand what would make 20 years old people going back to basics like that. Just a simple but funny way to get attention or something harder to do ?
The body lovers.
Behind what you could call old fashion hippies is in fact a real matter of image. This is the reason why I started to enjoy this documentary. You had different kinds of people, the pretty and perfectly skinny girl and boy who just wanted to go back to Nature and two other guys that were going through deep image issues. The first one had been called fat all his life (and was actually looking perfectly normal) and realized that he needed to start loving his body, to feel good in it the way it is. Getting naked was the way he found to cure. Same story for his room mate who joined him not long after. This one used to suffer from anorexia and started to respect his body, to see the beauty in it the day he really got naked. Same for other girls who were thinking they were too fat for this society and found their self-esteem in nudity. One of those girls said she didn't think she would ever be naked all day long, but long enough to enjoy being who she is the way she is. It was a positive and beautiful picture to see; those people eating normal food, not thinking of nudity in a nasty way and actually respecting themselves. At that point of the documentary I almost agreed 100% with them, but still, something was bothering me. The girl and the guy, trying to make students join their group and looking perfectly gorgeous. It was like the message they were saying with their mouth was destroyed by their “politically correct” bodies. No fat, no stretch marks. Nothing. How different from Fashion magazines were they, then ?
As much as I think it is quite a good idea to face your fears, I am still part of the persons that think a little bit mystery doesn't hurt. But something else I liked about this community is that when you go to a “naked” event, you don't actually have to get naked. You do it whenever you feel it is the right moment. Some girls kept their underwears when others didn't leave even a sock (true). Open minded people won't hurt in this world full of judgements. But once again, I don't feel like I would be comfortable – not being naked – but having naked people around me.
Really a positive trend ?
I was happy one of the students they tried to enrolled spoke for myself. A cute ginger girl said the right words. The Naturalism association of the College was using the image of two persons with no fat. It is unfair and contradictory to their message. How people would want to get naked and find their true self if everybody around them is looking like in the magazines ? What would be the difference between feeling uncomfortable in a bikini than totally naked ? Same judgement, same society that always make us feel too fat, not good, tall, smart, rich, charismatic enough etc... This is on that point I am going to finish my paper. As much as I love the idea of looking for self-esteem without hurting yourself, I can't help being worried about this method. Alright, for years “normal” people were doing it, but now this is getting more and more trendy, the skinny and beautiful ones our society wants us to look like won't take long to take over that new fashion. How could we blame them after all ? No fat doesn't mean no issues. But if skinny people get Naturalism, what else is left for us ? The “too fat to be beautiful” ones ?
Here is an extract of an old funny French movie to finish on a good mood. If you went on my Facebook page first you may have already seen it. Sorry for the non speaking French, but actually you can still understand the humour. The magic of Luis De Funes is above languages.

What about you guys ? What do you think about showing some skin ? Feel free to share your opinion !

22 September 2012

Listens : Lana Del Rey – Summertime Sadness
Hey guys ! Sorry sorry sorry to be gone for like 20 days but I was supposed to have internet in my flat and I didn't ! I still don't have it actually, it should be a matter of days now. I think that anybody from our generation can understand what I felt when I turned on my computer, alone in my new flat, in my new town, and realized I wouldn't be able to talk to my friends (cause my phone credit balance was dead too, of course or it wouldn't be that funny ~ ). For the ones who still need a picture, here are some funny gifs from Tumblr, cause Tumblr knows how to express your frustration ahah
At first, I couldn't believe that after having booked my flat for a month, my landlord still didn't put internet on (why even cutting it after the last resident ?). So I was like :
Cause yeah, it was written on the website that it was supposed to be part of the rent price.
Then, after a very long phone call to the internet company, they said I would have it in two days or maybe one week maximum. So I got my place in order, did everything someone moving in a new town has to do and waited the hole week, like a nice girl. Then, a guy from the company said I would have to wait till the 23rd of September. So I started to be like :
Because getting mad wouldn't solve anything I started to lose faith (I know that's not better...). The Internet guy said the 23rd but I don't really believe him anymore actually. So I got like this for a few more days :
Anyway, I spent some time in my college library (and my classes only officially start next monday xD) but I couldn't update my blog cause, call me weird, but I need my own space to look for pictures, being able to listen to my music, stop for a second and watch a best of Friends without having people looking down at me like I'm so mainstream... So I'd rather wait for my internet to really come back and take care of my blog. Once again, thank you for the people who kept coming here. You can follow me on my instagram my name is @crimeofashion, all the links are on the side !
Xx my little criminals ! ♥

Poland Part 2

11 July 2012

Listen : Santana - Maria Maria
Krakow baby ! What an amazing city ! Not like Dublin or Rome, where they are more tourists than natives, here, in Krakow, Poles are everywhere and it is very nice. The Old Town might be my favourite place. My boyfriend and I found a room in a Hostel on Florienska Street, which is right in the centre near absolutely everything. The funny fact is that our hostel is right above a strip club called “Gentleman's Taboo” ahah Visiting Krakow is very nice, by walk you can find your way easily and chill out at the terrace of a café or restaurant. People are so fashionable and shopping is quite cheap when you come with Euro. An exquisite place to come with your friends but I didn't know how romantic this city could be. Here are some pictures, see you soon ! #Xx♥!

Poland Part 1

8 July 2012

Listen : My boyfriend's brother playing the guitar next door
Hi guys ! Oh God, I don't know why I had this idea that Poland was supposed to be a cold weather country. Some friends tried to warn me about the very high temperatures in summer but I guess, after a year in Ireland, I stopped believing about the existence of the sun ! Poland is absolutely amazing, very nice people even if I have to face the fact that as an French/Arab girl in a small town, I might be one of the most exotic tourist some people ever saw so they keep starring ahah But it is very sweet. The food is very nice and fresh and if one day you have the chance to taste a dish called “Miseria” I recommend it ! It is very close to the Greek dish Tzatziki but more watery and very nice with this hard weather.
Here are some picture about one of the shop “Inglot” which is – if I am right – a British brand but created by a Polish. The products are absolutely amazing and you can try everything. The colours are endless and it is difficult to make a decision. It is quite affordable and the quality is very good. I let you enjoy the pictures, see you soon ! ♥
